Well, interior painting is the familiar idea to make your room looks more beautifully. It is also recommended if you have bored to the existing color of the wall. There are some factors why people or homeowners need to paint their home interior! - Then the next step, there are available many types of paints, such as; gloss, flat, semi’gloss’, and satin. Each type offers the different benefits! If you prioritize the durability then gloss or semi is not too bad choice. On other hand if you want the wall keeps clean then the answer is flat type. So decide which the best one of them.
- There are available some techniques for the interior painting. Mostly, roller and brush are two dominant tools for painting. The variety techniques are basically purposed to add depth and play the texture. Some familiar techniques are cloth stamping (use a cloth to stamp the wall), faux painting (nice idea to create marble and wood appearance), rubber stamping (recommended to create the custom shape) and wall stenciling (popular choice to reproduce the shapes of design on the wall).
- Estimate the amount of paint cans that you need. Therefore, don’t miss to measure the large surface of wall that will be painted as well!
- Don’t forget to protect the other items that will not be painted such as the floor covering (tiles), pieces of furniture in the room, electronic devices, etc. Use the goggles, hat, and better ‘not-bare chest’ in order to protect and cover skin, hair and eyes from excess paint.
- Then ensure the existing old paint is completely removed before starting to paint the entire wall.
